The National Asset Management Agency (Nama) stumped up about £2 million (€2.3 million) during the financial crisis to pay off a £10.2 million debt that had put a key subsidiary of Deirdre Foley’s D2 Private into receivership.

The move by Nama in the summer of 2011 ensured that D2 survived the crash after Bank of Scotland Ireland put its D2 property management limited subsidiary into receivership.
