A government announcement that sets out in concrete form how the solution for distressed mortgage families will work is due to be made this week, The Sunday Business Post understands.

In one of the most significant actions under the Rebuilding Ireland plan, the workings of the mortgage-to-rent scheme are due to be announced after this week’s cabinet meeting on Wednesday or Thursday.
