GMC Sierra, a division of Siteserv owned by billionaire Denis O’Brien, and Veolia, the French utility conglomerate, have been awarded multimillion meter-reading contracts that could last up to seven years by Irish Water.

Newly-unredacted board minutes of Irish Water from July to October 2014 also reveal how board approval was sought for additional borrowings of €200 million from three different banks.
