Mental health records of National Museum worker must remain sealed

The Court of Appeal has ruled that the sealed mental health records of a staff member of the National Museum, who was suspended after sexual harassment complaints, cannot be used in litigation.

Dr Andrew Halpin has taken legal proceedings against his employer, claiming he was unlawfully suspended in 2017 following negative media coverage.

Halpin has worked at the museum since 1994, and currently holds the position of Assistant Keeper of Irish Antiquities. As ...
