Escobar was the wealthiest criminal in history with an estimated net worth of $30 billion by the early 1990s. One scene in Narcos depicts him burning money in order to keep his family warm as his enemies close in around him.

At its peak, the Medellin cartel trafficked 80 per cent of the US cocaine market worth $21.9 billion a year.

At the Vicar St appearance Narcos fans will get further insights in the years-long struggle to smash the cartel from Murphy and Pena.
