Deputy leader hints she would ‘love’ to lead her party into government as Taoiseach

Sinn Féin deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald has declared that she wants to succeed Gerry Adams as Sinn Féin leader.

And she said it would be up to party members – not Adams – as to when he goes.

“I would like my name to be considered for the leadership of Sinn Féin. I’ve said that consistently,” she told The Sunday Business Post.
