A new initiative seeking to encourage more women into the law profession has been criticised by male barristers who are struggling to secure work
A small number of male barristers have complained to the Bar Council about the “unfairness” of a new policy which seeks to encourage law firms to brief more women barristers, the Business Post has learned.
The barristers who are raising concerns have said that that they feel the equitable briefing policy was “unfair” because it promoted women over men at a time when many were struggling to secure work.
