Sub-contractor IO Systems faces strike action after it cut workers’ pay in row over rosters

An Post is facing the prospect of crippling strike action by crucial maintenance staff at its key mail delivery centres from Thursday.

The long-running dispute erupted again last week after the semi-state company’s subcontracted maintenance supplier IO Systems docked some of its employees’ wages by as much as €2,200, or 60 per cent, for refusing to work new rosters.
