‘Low risk’ of major roads projects being abandoned due to inflation

The state agency in charge of road and public transport projects believes there is only a “low risk” that major infrastructure projects will have to be shelved due to rising inflation, it has emerged.

In a letter to the Dáil’s public accounts committee, seen by the Business Post, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) said there were “no projects presently under construction” which it was thinking about abandoning due to cost increases.
