Travel bible Lonely Planet is weeks away from setting up an international headquarters in Dublin, sources with knowledge of its plans said.

An announcement is expected to be made soon regarding a substantial Irish presence.

Nóirín Hegarty, formerly its London-based destinations managing editor, has relocated to Ireland as operations director.
