Labour questions if ‘political pressure’ delayed eviction data until after Dáil vote

Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik has said the government must release all records that informed its decision to lift the eviction ban.

The call has come following a report by Dublin Inquirer that senior staff at the Department of Housing asked the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) not to release data about evictions ahead of the vote on whether to lift the eviction ban on March 22.
