Kylemore Abbey in Connemara is 150 years old: its trust hopes the Notre Dame tie-in will secure the site’s future

Kylemore Abbey is set to embark on a €15 million revamp of the building and grounds, including a new monastery after agreeing a link with Notre Dame university from 2016.

The abbey announced a tie-up with the prestigious US university last week which will see the former boarding school at the iconic abbey turned into an educational and spiritual residential centre for Notre Dame students.
