KBC Bank's Irish profits up as loans picture improves
Higher house prices led to €1m loan loss writeback
KBC Bank Ireland has reported an after-tax profit of €39.5m for the second quarter of this year, more than double the €17.8m recorded in the same period last year.
Earlier, its Belgian parent bank reported an after-tax for Ireland
of €30m for the quarter of 2016, up from €2m in the same quarter last year. The difference is due to notional costs attributed to the Irish business which are included in the KBC ...
