High taxes mean that Conor McGregor will never fight in Ireland, according to his coach John Kavanagh.

Irish taxes are “tortuous”, Kavanagh, who has coached Ultimate Fighting Champion McGregor throughout his entire mixed martial arts career, said.

Next weekend, McGregor will square off against world-champion boxer Floyd Mayweather jr in a one-off boxing match expected to generate at least $100 million (€85 million) for each of them.
