The tireless and respected former RTÉ Western correspondent was buried today

Jim Fahy, the former RTÉ Western correspondent who was buried today, was known as a tireless worker.

He used to regularly ring the RTÉ news desk with information on stories big and small.

When he would arrive on a scene in the West of Ireland, he would make 20 or 30 phone calls to find out as much as he could about the event in question – whether it was a murder, a fatal fire ...
