Italian competition authority accuses Ryanair of leveraging ‘dominant’ market position as it launches new probe

The Italian authorities said they suspected Ryanair of exploiting its dominant position "to extend its power" in other sectors such as hotels and car rentals

The Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) has opened an investigation regarding an alleged exclusionary abuse of dominant position by Ryanair.

In a statement issued this morning, the authority said its investigation had been initiated following several reports received by the it since last May.
