Irish trader investigated in Swiss foreign exchange scandal

Swiss authorities have written to Irish trader Niall O’Riordan, who is one of 11 people subject to its investigation into a major foreign exchange rate manipulation scandal at banking giant UBS.

The bank, one of the largest foreign currency traders in the world, is among five global institutions that have already been sanctioned by US and British authorities, with more than $4 billion in fines being imposed.
