Jobs at Indeed’s Irish operation are at risk after the company announced 2,200 layoffs worldwide on Wednesday.

The recruitment firm employees 1,400 people in Ireland, however exact figures on how many people will be affected here are currently unknown.

In a message to staff on Wednesday, Chris Hyams, the global CEO of the recruitment firm said he was “heartbroken” at having to announce the layoffs.
