Irish software research centre to expand with €46.4 million investment

Lero, based in the University of Limerick, will create 90 PhD positions over the next six years

Lero, Science Foundation Ireland's software research centre, is to receive an investment of €46.4 million over six years, allowing it to expand with the creation of 90 PhD and 46 post-doctoral research positions.

SFI is funding €32.6 million of the investment, with support from the EU Structural Funds, while industry will contribute €13.8 million. Recruitment for the positions will begin immediately.
