Irish gig economy app founder plans for Gigable workers to be paid the living wage

There have long been issues with pay and conditions for gig economy workers in areas such as fast food delivery

Gigable, a company that links freelancers or ‘gig workers’ with businesses seeking temporary staff, is seeking to ensure that those who use the platform are paid at least the living wage of €13.85 per hour.

The company is introducing a contracted condition in its service-level agreement for businesses using its platform that will incentivise them to pay the living wage.
