Ireland pledges €2m in emergency earthquake support for Turkey and Syria

The Irish government has pledged €2 million in emergency humanitarian assistance following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria that have killed at least 4,800 people.

Micheál Martin, the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, said the funding was a direct response to an emergency appeal from the Turkish government and aid agencies working in northwest Syria.
