Ireland and the Marshall Islands are to lead a special track or “coalition” on the issues of Youth Engagement and Public Mobilisation at the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit, which will take place in New York on 23 September.

The United Nations secretary general, António Guterres, requested that Ireland and the Marshall Islands take charge of the coalition at this year’s landmark conference.
