Insurer FBD reports profits of €74 million for 2022
Gross written premium of €383 million was up 3.4 per cent
Insurer FBD has reported profit before tax of €74 million for 2022, down from €110 million the prior year.
However, the performance was well ahead of market expectations.
FBD’s underwriting profit of €85.7 million, down from €95.2 million in 2021, equated to a 74.5 per cent combined operating ratio (COR), on the back of continuing lower frequency of injury claims, benign weather and positive prior year reserve development.
