The Garda Commissioner gave information to the State's spending watchdog, the comptroller and auditor general, that was "not accurate and therefore not acceptable" according to the Dail's Public Accounts Committee.

Noirin O'Sullivan wrote to Seamus McCarthy on July 31, 2015, in the context of his signing off on accounts for the previous year.
