Incoming Garda Commissioner faces new criticism on vetting

The appointment of the former PSNI deputy chief constable has aroused concerns due to the requirement in his previous role to work with the British intelligence service MI5

The former deputy director of military intelligence Michael C Murphy has warned that it was not possible to carry out security vetting on incoming Garda Commissioner Drew Harris due to his service outside the jurisdiction.
