Ireland urgently needs to form a stable government to see off the threat of a Brexit, Ibec's Director of International and European Affairs director warned today.

As the referendum on Britain voting to leave the EU approaches, Pat Ivory said it was "worrying" there has been no deal in the Dail despite the hugely significant event on June 23.

Speaking at a joint conference with the International Centre for European Law in Dublin, which is examining the legal implications of a UK exit from the EU, Ivory said that if Britain votes to leave, it has the potential to seriously damage Ireland's political, social and economic development.
