Household savings continue to drop from their Covid-19 peak

Households are continuing to save less since the height of the Covid-19 pandemic according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The shutdown of pubs, hotels, restaurants and offices during the pandemic led to a surge in household saving as householders have very few options to spend their income.
