The owners of the hotel Maria Bailey sued after falling off a swing have hit out at Ireland’s “heavy claims culture” and called on the government to take urgent action on insurance reform.

Paddy McKillen jr’s Press Up Entertainment, which owns the Dean Hotel on Harcourt Street, said its insurance costs had been increasing for years because of people taking personal injury cases.
