James Clancy was hit and killed by a truck in Tullamore almost 31 years ago. Files went missing, no one was ever charged, and his family are still looking for answers

It was the last social welfare day before Christmas 1987 when 80-year-old James Clancy was hit by a truck in Tullamore town and dragged to his death. No one was ever caught for the hit and run. A lorry was checked later that day, but there are no records of its number plate, who was driving it or what they said.
