In his biography Time Added On, George Hook remarks: “Decisiveness is a quality I envy in others.” Hook professes not to be able to make decisions himself. However he said his first producer, Garrett Harte, later editor-in-chief and a consultant to Newstalk, had this quality in spades.
Newstalk’s owner Denis O’Brien is another man not known for his indecision.
