Michael McGrath, the Minister for Public Expenditure, has pledged to provide the HSE with additional Covid-19 funding to cover the massive over-run in this year’s health budget.

It comes after the Business Post reported that Stephen Donnelly, the Minister for Health, was scrambling to fill what could be a €2 billion hole in the health budget to avoid a substantial bailout being required before the end of the year.
