The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has said a hard Brexit scenario would slash the outlook for Irish economic growth next year.

In its latest economic commentary, the think-tank says the Irish economy should record what it describes as an “exceptional” performance this year, with gross domestic product (GDP) growing by 8.2 per cent.
