Guillotine may await filibustering TDs

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has raised the prospect of bringing back the Dáil guillotine to prevent TDs “filibustering” legislation. The blunt force practice of shutting down debate on bills in the Dáil and Seanad is hated by TDs and has not been used in the era of so-called “new politics”.
