Greencoat Renewables calls on state to increase support for wind sector

Greencoat Renewables, the publicly listed Irish renewable energy investor, has called on the government to intensify its support for the wind energy sector.

The investor, which made an operating profit of €9.8 million in its first reporting period, is an active buyer of Irish wind farms, spending €318 million to acquire its seed portfolio from Canadian utility Brookfield earlier this year.
