Green energy lobby warns future is ‘jeopardised’

Hundreds of ready-to-build wind, solar and bioenergy projects could be at risk

Recap, an alliance of renewable energy associations, has warned that half a million power customers look set to lose out on accessing lower cost renewable energy exposing taxpayers to potential fines.

Recap said that the Commission for Regulation of Utilities looks “set to cut renewables out of proposed ‘ECP-1’ electricity grid policy, as “they are not prioritised over fossil fuels”.
