Grafton Group reports 12% half-year revenue increase

Operating profit at hardware giant down 7% but company expected small decline amid ‘normalisation of activity’

Grafton Group has reported an adjusted operating profit, before property profit, of £132.6 million (€156.8 million) for the first half of this year, a fall of 7 per cent on the corresponding period in 2021, with the company saying this decline was expected.

The hardware business, whose brands include Woodie’s and Chadwick’s in Ireland, saw revenue increase 12 per cent to £1.15 billion (€1.34 billion), according to its half year report.
