Government wins Dáil vote to end temporary eviction ban

The government has won a vote to end the temporary eviction ban after getting the support of regional independent TDs.

The vote was non-binding but it represented a test of the government’s voting strength ahead of an expected Labour party motion of no confidence in the government next week.
