Government tight-lipped on potential compensation for broadband backers

The government has refused to disclose the terms under which National Broadband Ireland will be compensated if other operators provide an internet connection to customers targeted by the rural broadband scheme.

National Broadband Ireland (NBI) was named as the preferred bidder for the controversial National Broadband Plan last month.
