Government spent €58 million on external consultants in five years

The government has spent €58 million hiring consultants to help it do its work over the last five years, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.

The state paid out millions of euro to some of the largest accountancy firms in the country, including Deloitte, the biggest earner, which received €34.2 million in fees from a range of government departments.
