Hostelworld has “certainly got a job of work to do” in an increasingly competitive travel market beset by major geopolitical risk, according to its chief executive, Feargal Mooney.

The company last week announced that its core Hostelworld brand has seen 21 per cent growth in bookings for the second half of 2016.
