Galway Hooker brewery sold to Connacht Hospitality Group

The brewery is undergoing a period of change, with a new organic beer, development of a whiskey and an export drive

The well-known craft brewery Galway Hooker has been bought by the Connacht Hospitality Group for an undisclosed figure.

Aidan Murphy, the Galway Hooker co-founder, will remain with the company, which has plans to expand.

“I felt that it needed an injection of new blood, new ideas, fresh thinking, and potentially finance,” Murphy said.
