GAA players’ body wants ban on gambling adverts during TV broadcasts

Gambling adverts should be banned during GAA match broadcasts, the leading union for GAA players has said.
Ahead of today’s All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Kerry, Paul Flynn, chief executive of the Gaelic Players Association, said: “The GPA believes all gambling adverts during half-time of our games should be removed to protect the most vulnerable people, in particular young people, from the perils of this destructive addiction.”
