Free Now, the multinational taxi group, has been lobbying the Irish government for a key law change in a bid to tackle the night-time shortage of taxis in cities, correspondence shows.

In a document submitted to the Department of Transport, seen by the Business Post, the German-headquartered company called for a change in alcohol licensing laws to stagger the closing times of pubs and nightclubs.
