Defence argues retrial would have been unfair on 56-year-old

The Court of Appeal has ordered that former Anglo Irish Bank executive Tiarnan O'Mahoney is to be retried.

The 56-year-old was released from prison last month following a successful appeal against his conviction for conspiring to falsify bank records and defraud the Revenue Commissioners.
