A flurry of new lawsuits brings to over 700 the number ofpyrite actions now lodged against building materials supplier Irish Asphalt and related firms in the Belfast-basedLagan Group.

Around 500 of the claims also list LM Developments, the construction firm behind the Belmayne housing estate in North Dublin, as a defendant. The quasi-class action is seeking millions in damages arising from allegedpyrite damage in a dozen boom-time developments in the greater Dublin area.
