Frank Flannery lobbied for Merrion on mortgage scheme

Former Fine Gael strategist Frank Flannery lobbied the government on behalf of a major finance house for the revamp of the mortgage-to-rent scheme that was announced earlier this month.

Flannery met with Fine Gael’s junior housing minister Damien English, who is spearheading the scheme, on two occasions in order to explain the benefits of what have now become the government’s plans to revamp the under-utilised scheme.
