FitzPatrick Nigerian loans withdrawn from IBRC debt sale

The special liquidators of IBRC have pulled loans related to former Anglo Irish Bank chairman Sean FitzPatrick’s investment in a $1.3 billion Nigerian oil field from the auction of the bank’s remaining loan book.

Loans connected to FitzPatrick’s stake in the Niger delta project were due to be sold in the coming weeks, but have now been withdrawn from the process, following complications related to FitzPatrick’s bankruptcy process.
