Firms baulk at ‘worrying’ number of calls to cut power supply

Large companies that are contracted to reduce power consumption when asked to do so are growing increasingly frustrated at the “unprecedented” number of times they are being told to disconnect from the grid in a bid to balance the country’s creaking energy system, an industry body has warned.
