Fingleton launches appeal against High Court ruling
The ruling found he was “lawfully subject” to a Central Bank inquiry
Michael Fingleton has lodged an appeal against last month’s High Court ruling which found he was “lawfully subject” to a Central Bank inquiry into alleged regulatory breaches at Irish Nationwide.
In proceedings aimed at halting the probe, the former INBS boss who retired with a pension fund valued at €30 million claimed he was in financial difficulty and that there had been an attempt to make him a “scapegoat” for the banking crisis.
