Film and TV tax relief should extend to games, study finds

The Section 481 tax relief scheme should be extended to include games, according to an economic study into the Irish audio-visual sector.

Commissioned as part of the Action Plan for Jobs in 2016, the study, by Olsberg SPI and Nordicity, recommends extending the Irish film and TV tax credit, which offers relief worth up to 32 per cent on eligible Irish expenditure, to video games.
